Junghee's Study Journey
After living in New Zealand for six years, Junghee Kwon has continued to work on her English and build her confidence in everyday life. Originally from Korea, Junghee's first language is Korean. She had already studied English at school in Korea before coming to New Zealand, but she wanted to continue improving her skills. She chose to study NZCEL Level 3 General at DynaSpeak, partly because the campus is conveniently close to her home. For Junghee, one of the most positive changes has been feeling more comfortable communicating with others. “It has become less stressful to say hello and study with new friends.” Junghee particularly enjoys practising speaking with her classmates. Having opportunities to use English with friends has helped her feel more relaxed and confident when communicating. She also has a clear goal for the future. Junghee wants to improve her English, especially her speaking skills. After completing her studies, she plans to study a diploma and work towards finding a stable job. One person who has made a strong impression on Junghee is her teacher, Richey Fan. She appreciates his dedication and the support he gives to his students. “He truly cares about his students and always tries his best to help them improve.” Junghee's story shows that building confidence in English can happen one conversation at a time. With regular practice, supportive classmates and dedicated teachers, she is taking steady steps towards her future goals.
