Yuruo Chen has been living in New Zealand for 12 years and originally comes from China. Her mother tongue is Mandarin, and she had some English experience from studying at school. Yuruo chose to study with DynaSpeak because she wanted to improve her English. Although Yuruo described her experience as different from other places she has studied, she has gained new English skills through her time at DynaSpeak. For Yuruo, learning English is part of a longer journey. Her goal is to continue progressing through her studies and complete NZCEL Level 4. Her experience is a reminder that learning a language takes time and commitment. Every new skill is another step towards reaching the next goal.
