Byung Doo’s journey in New Zealand began in 1999, when he first arrived from South Korea to study English. With an intermediate level of English at the time, he dedicated himself to improving his language skills, eventually achieving a 6.5 in IELTS. This strong foundation paved the way for his PhD studies from 2000 to 2005. After retiring, he made the decision to return to New Zealand, where he has now been living for more than two years.

Fluent in Korean, German, and Japanese, Byung Doo has always had a passion for languages and learning. Wanting to further improve his English, he was referred to DynaSpeak by a TWoA tutor and is currently studying at Level 3. His experience at DynaSpeak has been better than expected, thanks to the dedicated teachers and staff. Since joining, he has seen significant progress, going from struggling to speak English to gaining confidence and fluency.

Looking ahead, Byung Doo has ambitious plans to open a business in New Zealand. His time at DynaSpeak has not only improved his English skills but has also helped him feel more comfortable in New Zealand’s cultural environment. His determination and commitment to learning continue to drive him toward achieving his long-term goals.
