My name is Lin Zhou, and I have been living in New Zealand for the past eight years. Originally, I am from Wuhan, China. My mother tongue is Chinese, and I primarily communicate in this language. Before arriving in New Zealand, I had some knowledge of English, which I acquired during my 2.5 years of study at Lynfield College.
I chose to study with DynaSpeak after hearing positive feedback from a friend. This semester, I have been enrolled in the Foundation level course. My experience at DynaSpeak has been quite different from my previous educational experiences. The course here is much more challenging and formal, covering all aspects of the English language, including grammar and speaking. The topics taught are diverse and practical for daily life, unlike the more random and less systematic approach I encountered at Lynfield College. However, I must admit that studying at DynaSpeak can be quite stressful.
Studying at DynaSpeak has had a significant impact on my life. I have seen considerable improvement in my English skills, which has helped me make new friends and gain a better understanding of New Zealand's culture. My long-term goal is to live a normal daily life in New Zealand, where I can communicate effectively in English without any problems. To achieve this, I plan to continue practicing and improving my English skills even after completing my studies at DynaSpeak.
One particularly memorable aspect of my time at DynaSpeak is the comprehensive and practical nature of the courses, which have been instrumental in my language development and cultural adaptation.
