My name is Ilona Manukian. I have been living in New Zealand for two years, originally coming from Ukraine. My mother tongue is Ukrainian, and I also speak Russian.

Before arriving in New Zealand, I had no knowledge of English. I could only speak basic phrases and had no understanding of grammar or writing. I began studying English at a school called ELP and later joined DynaSpeak, where my English skills have significantly improved, especially in speaking, grammar, and writing.

I chose to study with DynaSpeak because it was recommended to me by a classmate from ELP. This semester, I am studying Level 4 general. My experience at DynaSpeak has been quite different from my previous studies. The courses here are more structured and systematic, creating a more challenging and pressurised environment compared to the more relaxed atmosphere at ELP. At ELP, the lack of pressure and mixed levels within the same class hindered my progress. I also appreciate the online component of DynaSpeak.

Studying at DynaSpeak has had a significant impact on my life. My English skills have improved greatly, and I have gained new friends and a better understanding of New Zealand culture. My long-term goal is to secure a full-time job, and I plan to continue studying at DynaSpeak to achieve this.
