Kia ora DynaSpeak whānau,
I want to take a moment to acknowledge and greet all of you on your language learning journey here at DynaSpeak. We are incredibly grateful to have such a diverse and vibrant community of learners (Tauira), educators (Kaiako), and staff (Kaimahi) members.
In our approach to education, we embrace the rich traditions and wisdom of Māori educational philosophy. We believe in the concept of ako, where the Kaiako and tauira mutually engage and learn from one another. It is a collaborative process that fosters a deeper understanding and connection.
We also hold the value of whakawhanaungatanga, which emphasizes the importance of building relationships and creating a supportive learning environment. We recognize that our learning journey is enhanced when we work together as a whānau, valuing each other's unique perspectives and contributions.
As we embark on the path of learning English, I encourage you to embrace the Māori principle of whakapapa. Just as whakapapa connects us to our ancestors and heritage, it also reminds us that we are part of a larger learning community. We are all connected, and by supporting and uplifting one another, we can achieve great things.
Remember the words of our ancestors: "Whāia te iti kahurangi ki te tuohu koe me he maunga teitei" – "Seek the treasure that you value most dearly, if you must bow your head, let it be to a lofty mountain." Let your dreams and aspirations guide you, and don't be afraid to aim high.
At DynaSpeak, we understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel like climbing a mountain. But as the saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a day." It takes time, dedication, and perseverance to achieve mastery. So, embrace the journey, be patient with yourself, and remember that every step you take brings you closer to your language goals.
I am truly enthusiastic about education and the opportunity to help our community grow. Together, let's embrace the power of language learning and unlock the doors to new possibilities and horizons.
Thank you for being part of the DynaSpeak whānau. I am excited to witness your progress and celebrate your achievements.
Warm regards,
Ngā mihi nui
Aukaha/ Director DynaSpeak.
