New Zealand Certificates in English

Te Wananga o Aotearoa offers classroom-based programmes in the New Zealand Certificates in English at NZQA Levels 1-4, including Level 1 Foundation, to New Zealand migrant permanent residents and citizens. Each level is taught over 18 weeks with semesters commencing in late February and July. Develop reading, writing, listening and speaking. Cultural communication for effective participation in employment, further studies and social communication. Levels 3 & 4 include options for workplace, professional and academic language skills development. Level 4 (academic) is designed to satisfy the English Language requirement for university study at bachelor level. No fees.

Business & Workplace Communication

Practical English for successful business and real-life workplace communication. Suitable as an Elective Option for Working Holiday and business-oriented international, resident and New Zealand Certificates in English students. Fees may apply.

Academic English (Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL & TOEIC OPTIONS)

Prepare your entry to further study at universities and tertiary colleges in New Zealand or overseas. Direct Pathways to Foundation, tertiary diploma and bachelor-level courses available. Core skills, study skills, Individual Study Plan and Tutorial support to handle English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and pass major Exams or meet university entry requirements. Suitable as an Elective Option for all academic and further study-oriented international, resident and CESOL students.

Cambridge English Courses

Comprehensive tutorial support and exam practice for a wide range of Cambridge English Language Assessment Examinations is offered both within the Academic English Elective Option to international students and for selected New Zealand Certificates in English candidates. Fees may apply.

International English

Effective Part Time and Full Time options for all levels, oriented to international students, and also to new migrants eligible for the TEC English for Migrants (EFM) scheme. Course choices include both dynamic Mainstream Immersion and Elective Options (Phase I), and intensive special focus (Phase II). Fees apply.

Junior Programmes

DynaSpeak welcomes younger learners, accepting groups and mini-groups on application. Academic programmes or Study & Activity are available, and short courses incorporating Preparation for Cambridge YLE or higher levels can easily be arranged. Junior learners gain confidence in lively classes and receive a Cambridge Certificate upon successful completion from Cambridge English Language Assessment - part of the University of Cambridge, in the United Kingdom. DynaSpeak Examinations Centre

DynaSpeak is an authorised Examinations Centre for Cambridge English Language Assessment, offering a comprehensive suite of Computer Based and Paper Based Cambridge English Examinations. DynaSpeak is also a licensed TOEIC Test Centre. Exam fees apply.

Cambridge TKT for English Teachers

Non-native speakers of English who wish to develop their EL teaching ability, or upgrade their knowledge, can take the internationally respected Cambridge TKT Exam in the DynaSpeak Examinations Centre. Tutorial support available. Exam fee applies.

Business & Computing

A range of Te Wananga o Aotearoa courses at NZQA Levels 1 – 4 are offered for New Zealand citizens and permanent residents seeking a certificate in either Business or Computing. Fees may apply

National Diploma in Business Levels 5 & 6 (in partnership with SIT)

The National Diploma in Business (Levels 5 & 6) is offered at DynaSpeak in partnership with Southern Institute of Technology (SIT). Currently the Diploma is offered to international students. SIT fees apply.
